The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority: A Brief Summary
The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority is a political subdivision of the Commonwealth of Virginia created pursuant to Title 36 of the Code of Virginia, as amended. It was created by the Board of Supervisors and approved by a County-wide voter referendum on November 2, 1965. The FCRHA was activated by the Board of Supervisors on February 23, 1966 and has been in operation, without interruption, since that date. The FCRHA's primary business office is located at 3700 Pender Drive, Fairfax, Virginia 22030.

About the Department of Housing and
The County's affordable housing and community revitalization programs are administered by the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD). In addition to its role as a department of County government, reporting to the County Executive and the Board of Supervisors, HCD also serves as the staff for the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA).
