FCRHA Elects Chairman and Vice-Chairman
The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) elected Ronald F. Christian, Braddock District, and Elisabeth Lardner, Mount Vernon District, as chairman and vice-chairman respectively, at its meeting on Thursday, July 23.
This is Mr. Christian’s second term as Chairman of the FCRHA following seven years of service as Vice Chairman. He is Director of the Lutheran Housing Services. Mr. Christian has deep roots in Fairfax County, and has been involved in the community, in various active roles, for the last 30 years. In addition to serving on the FCRHA, he is the founder and past chair of Faith Communities in Action; and a past member of the county’s Long Term Care Coordinating Council. He has long been active in the county mission to provide decent and affordable housing to the families, seniors and disabled residents of Fairfax County.
Ms. Lardner was appointed to the FCRHA in February 2001. Prior to her appointment to the FCRHA, she served on the county’s Tree Commission as the Mount Vernon representative. She has served her community as a PTA President, officer in Booster organizations, as a Director of the Virginia Urban Forest Council, co-founder of the Northern Virginia Urban Forestry Roundtable, and as the FCRHA rep as Chair of the Richmond Highway Facade Guidelines Committee, Chair of the FCRHA Revitalization Committee, and representative to the Community Revitalization and Reinvestment Advisory Group. Ms. Lardner is a principal in the landscape architecture, urban design and planning firm, Lardner-Klein Landscape Architects, PC, with an active public-orientated practice throughout the Mid-Atlantic.
