Friday, June 6, 2008 The Virginia Foreclosure Prevention Task Force will hold a series of regional Mortgage Clinics on Saturday, June 14 and Saturday, June 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. On June 14, the clinics will be held in Richmond at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, 403 N. Third Street, Richmond, VA 23219; in Virginia Beach at Larkspur Middle School, 4696 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462-6456) and in Roanoke at Roanoke Higher Education Center, Claude Moore Education Complex, 108 N. Jefferson Street, Roanoke, VA 24016. On June 21, the clinics will be held in Chantilly at Chantilly High School, 4201 Stringfellow Road, Chantilly, VA 20151 and in Woodbridge at Northern Virginia Community College – Woodbridge Campus, 15200 Neabsco Mills Road, Woodbridge, VA 22191. These clinics are intended to inform Virginians who are at risk of or are experiencing foreclosure about methods to help them pass this financial roadblock and will provide both general foreclosure prevention information sessions and one-on-one sessions with accredited counselors qualified with training in foreclosure prevention and loss mitigation. For this complimentary individualized counseling, participants must pre-register though the Virginia Foreclosure Prevention Task Force website at: www.virginiaforeclosureprevention.com. In addition to pre-registration, the site also offers more information about the Task Force. Governor Tim Kaine created the Virginia Foreclosure Prevention Task Force in November 2007 to strategize methods to assist Virginians with the rise the in foreclosure rate throughout the state by recommending ways to keep and maintain homeownership among working families and communities. The Task Force is chaired by Secretary of Commerce and Trade Patrick O. Gottschalk. |
