FCRHA Honors Louise Milder On Her Retirement

At its January meeting, the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) recognized Louise Milder, Associate Director of Real Estate Finance, HCD, for her sixteen years of service to the FCRHA and the citizens of Fairfax County.

Throughout her career, Louise Milder has worked diligently to assist in the production, acquisition and preservation of affordable housing for Fairfax County low and moderate income families including playing a critical role in developing financing packages for such properties as Stonegate Village Apartments and Crescent Apartments (Hunter Mill District); Murraygate Village Apartments (Lee District); and Wedgewood Apartments (Braddock District).  The FCRHA recognized Ms. Milder for consistently providing support, insight and guidance to partners of the FCRHA to develop innovative financing strategies to further the preservation and production of affordable housing in the county and for establishing and maintaining a positive and highly professional relationship with both non-profit and for-profit developers and has been a valued resource for information and assistance as they proceed through the Affordable Housing Partnership Program application process.

Ms. Milder was involved in the financing of numerous affordable housing projects, from the initial planning stages to the closing, in her distinguished career with Fairfax County.  “It is very rewarding to see how everything comes together in the end,” Ms. Milder stated in her remarks to the FCRHA. “The final result is that I am helping to provide affordable housing to low and moderate income households.”  Her retirement plans include volunteer work, travel and taking courses at George Mason.
