Reminder: Fall 2007 Non-profit Dialogue Scheduled for October 29
Organizations and Advocates Requested to Give Input on Preliminary Housing Authority Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2009

Location: Fairfax County Government Center, Conference Rooms 9/10

On Monday, Oct. 29, at 8:30 until 10:00 a.m. representatives from non-profit organizations and other activists are invited to gather to review and comment on the draft Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) Strategic Action Plan for Fiscal Year 2009. This “Non-profit Dialogue” is part of a series of conversations with the FCRHA’s non-profit partners, conducted by HCD.
HCD will provide an overview of the Plan’s major focus areas, which include, among others:

• Affordable Housing Preservation;
• Affordable Housing and Facilities for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities;
• Homeownership; and
• Meeting Future Affordable Housing Needs through New Production.

Following this event, comments will be reported to the FCRHA, through its committees, in advance of its consideration of the Plan at its regular meeting in December 2007.
